What is beta glucan?

Beta-glucans are a group of natural polysaccharides composed of a series of glucose molecules. They are naturally found in various plants and microorganisms such as grains (rye, barley), mushrooms (Shiitake, Lingzhi), and yeasts (baker's yeast - Saccharomyces cerevisiae). Each of these sources contains beta-glucan as a structural element but in a different chemical form.

Leovital Beta Glucan, which comes in the form of beta-D-(1,3)-(1,6)-glucan, is obtained through natural technological processes from baker's yeast - Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The concentration of pure beta-glucan in this product is a high 62.5%, which amounts to 312.5 mg per capsule. The recommended daily dose of this product is 1 to 3 capsules per day, which translates to 312.5 to 937.5 mg of beta-glucan in the daily dose.
